Sunday engineering work

The track around the points at Grande has been ballasted today and, joy of joys, the blades are not glued solid.

I’ll leave it a couple of days before clearing flangeways and cleaning the rail heads. The trees have been planted in a raised bed similar to the one at Tacna and the turntable pit was painted while I was waiting for the glue to dry.

Temporary card “girders” make the turntable look less like a plank of wood.
