2016 NGRM/ExpoNG Dave Brewer Challenge (7)

ngrm 2016 brewer plan

The loading chute has been fettled and is now working perfectly.

There is very little spillage, which is considerably better than my efforts with live loads on previous large scale layouts, Green End Quarry and Hayfinch. Talking of which, it should be pointed out that the Hayfinch Estate is still very much into minimum gauge railways with both Lescanby Moor and Warley Fen being part of the company’s assets. Another pun that I’m retaining – half inch being the scale in use.

The mine building has been clad in “wriggly tin” and painted, though it still needs more work on the weathering. No progress with the rock formations or the bridge because I’ve not replenished the supply of filler yet.
