More bodging

Hahaha, as I typed the heading for this post it occurred to me that “Bodging Moor” would be a good name for this layout!

Anyway, carrying on from the Bodging post (2nd July), I have decided to used curved track for the outer approaches to the turntable instead of bending straights. This makes the layout larger than originally planned and the baseboard has been built to fit the trackplan rather than drawing a plan to fit the baseboard. As the spaces between the tracks are now wider I have opted for a footbridge as the scenic break.

The platforms either side of the loco are structural which is why they have been included at this early stage. The platform to the left of the loco [1] will slope away from the main line down to ground level alongside the goods siding. The platform to the right of the loco [2] will be built up so that it is an island with faces for both the main and loco release lines.
